gibberish, fun and dim som

i will be the first to admit that being a stay at home mom is not for everyone. there are times (when the back is aching, the house is messy, the patience is frayed and bed time has long since come and gone) that i start to wonder whether it's really for me. at these times, i think back on the proud parenting moments (as my aunt tina calls them) through out the day to remind me why i love it so much. i've added some videos and pics of just such moments here at the end.

this weekend was pretty eventful. on saturday, we went for dim som with some friends. noe seemed to enjoy the food and mali got more attention than i can usually offer. it was nice to have the opportunity to eat without either child pulling on me, and i wish i could have taken advantage of it. unfortunately, though, i had another visit from my friend the kidney stone. i took a pill before we got there, but it took some time to work, so i only really was able to enjoy the last ten minutes of the meal. oh, well. it was fun though and it was nice to get out and socialize. afterwards, we hung out with one of the couples for a while longer, so i got my social fix for a while (thanks aaron and ash!).

later on saturday, after we'd had dinner, we went outside to let noe play before her shower. here, she met a friend who was out "cruising" in his hummer. he's an older man at 2 years old and was pretty pimpin' in his ride. he gave her a smile and she hopped in for a nice drive. i told her it's okay at this age, but when she gets older, that has to stop. it was pretty cute though, so i've added a bit of video for your enjoyment. his name is caleb.

anyway, i've been told that my blogs are too long and so i will stop the commentary here and just get to the cuteness.
