Abu is welcome here

Mali has begun "talking". she woke me up for her morning feeding the other day with, rather than her usual crying and fussing, a very calm and amusing "aaaaaahhhh bu. aaaaaahhhh bu." over and over again. it was so cool that i woke up fai to join in the moment. he wasn't as enthused by it...but then, it was only 5am. now, at decent hours of the day and night, he thinks it's very cool. i've been trying to get it on video, but she's not cooperating. instead, noe says it for the camera, or any other time, while mali just goes on with her general "ahhhh" sounds. maybe by the time i post this, she'll have a change of heart.

also on the communication side, noe has begun whispering. if she wants something that i've already told her no for, she asks again in a whisper. it's adorable.

a friend of mine just sent me a mei thai baby carrier. mali has gotten too big for the snuglie, so this one is better for bigger babies. apparently, i can even use it for noe on my back if i want to. i've added pics of it. it's pretty neat.
