so, for some reason, noe has decided that peeing on the potty is a good thing to do! today, she peed on the potty six times! and i only had to remind her twice! her training pants were dry almost the entire day! woo hoo! ladies and gentlemen, it just doesn't get much better than this at the poon house! we have never been so excited about excrement. yes, i used a bigger word than necessary. why? because i've been saying "pee" and "pee pee" and potty all day every day for the past several months! i will use my grown up words when i have the chance! otherwise, i may forget them, and then my still-in-progress book would seriously suffer (although it may help with the comedic factor, but probably not in the way i want).
the bad news (of course, there's always some bad news that comes with these little bits of good) is that she has decided that pooping in the potty is not a necessity. i'm not sure why, but she has refused to go to the potty to poop for a while (it used to be the only thing she'd do on the potty). hm...to be honest, i guess i'd rather she pooped on the potty than peed if i had to choose. think about it...what kind of diaper would you rather change? now think about what kind of accident in underpants would you rather clean up? granted, we don't pee on tinker bell, but i don't think i explained that it would be even more rude to poop on her.

Congrats on the success! Before becoming a Mom I never imagined how exciting pee could be! And if I makes you feel better Isaac had the pee down way before the poopies, so that is normal, but it doesn't make cleaning out gross underwear any more enjoyable! Hopefully she will get that part soon though! Then you will only have one diaper to change!
Julia did the same thing! she was wet trained for about 3 months before she started pooping on the potty. I tried everything, rewarding her for pooping, putting her straight into underpants to try and prevent it, I even went so far as to put her in timeout sitting in her poop and making her grab it out of her underpants with her bare hands and place it in the toilet. I was desperate. In the end, none of that worked. It was when she decided she was ready that she did it. Kat was much easier (and I think you'll find Mali this way too) because she wanted to do whatever big sister was doing... including going potty!
Also, I have been known to be out on a date with Clay and tell him I was going to "go pee pee on the potty". Having kids sucks your brain cells out!
