when we left off, i'd taken the girls to an easter event for a puppet show. the day after that, we went to the library's easter egg hunt and craft activity. noe, now a pro at the hunting, really raced through that. mali had fun, too, but preferred the opening of the eggs. we ran into some friends there and the girls really had a good time. they got to make bunny ears and eat chocolate. what's not to like?
the day after that, we went to kellie's for easter egg coloring. mommy forgot to bring the camera, however, so there are no pictures...because wang cai later ate them. but that's a later part of the story. that night, the girls spent a fun filled night of ribs, ice cream and dancing with daddy at home (lots of good pics and video, but there were too many to post this time...maybe next time) while mommy went to church for the jewelry class. i discovered that i am not very good at making earrings. sorry, granny, you can just put them in a drawer somewhere and pretend you liked them.
saturday was pretty uneventful. daddy came home early from his last day of class (yeah!), but left for a couple of meetings at church. he got home in time for mali to throw up her dinner and help bathe the princesses. after the girls were in bed, mommy filled baskets with:
dyed eggs, hershey kisses, peeps, reeces pieces carrots, a book each, three pony eggs each, snickers eggs, and the bubble bucket to share. they were placed with the big stuffed bunny on the coffee table before we went to bed.
in the morning, we discovered (thankfully before the girls came down) that the dog was also very appreciative of the easter bunny. he raided the baskets and ate 5 dyed eggs (shell and all), about 3/4 bag of hershey kisses (with the foil), 4 peeps, and half a bag of mini marshmellows (mommy's snack that got left on the end table). he spent the remainder of the holiday outside. he would be there still if it hadn't started raining.
after refilling the baskets the best i could, the girls enjoyed their new discovery. then we ate breakfast (which was supposed to be the eggs that they colored, but obviously we had to settle for scrambled with toast). then mommy napped a bit. when the girls had eaten lunch and were napping, i hid the plastic eggs around the house for the egg hunt, which kicked off after their naps. then we dressed them up in their pretty dresses and took pictures, which i have shared the cutest of, and went to dinner at a friend's house (very yummy, cynthia!). the girls really enjoyed their holiday, and that made it all the better for mommy and daddy. now, if i could just get them to give up the plastic eggs....
so now it's time to start preparing for the next holiday, one that happens to be a favorite of mine: mother's day.
as a random update: mali has gotten out of her crib. we lowered the mattress, but i don't think it will hold her for long. i took the girls to mcd's for lunch with cynthia and olivia today and the girls got really worn out. noe has started going down the slides there on her own finally. she hasn't had an accident in her underpants in about two weeks. the night time training starts this weekend.

Noe's smile/smirk reminds me of her Daddy!
Did the dog not get sick?!?! Cute pictures of the girls.
Silly dog, eggs are for kids! I hope he didn't get sick from it all and make you clean up that mess as well! The girls look really cute in their Easter dresses!
