A blessing:
some of you knew, most of you didn't. i got pregnant! yes, again. yes, we do know what causes that. no, it wasn't planned, but it was still a very happy surprise.
A heartbreak:
some of you knew this as well. we lost the baby. i had a miscarriage at about 8 weeks, just after our first ultrasound where we got to see the little peanut and hear a heartbeat. we are extremely saddened, but we're working through it as best we can.
Another blessing:
we've had a lot of support and concern and understanding from our wonderful friends. thanks to all of those who have helped me out these couple of weeks. we love you guys! also, my girls have really helped us to not simply sit in bed all day and cry. i couldn't even sleep in if i wanted to, and each day, their smiles and shining personalities and sloppy kisses and sticky hugs make it worth getting up. i am able now to see that we were bessed to have had the chance to meet the baby we lost on the ultrasound and love him (we have decided it was a boy), even if it was only for a short time. we feel confident that the Lord will bless us with more children in the future and can only look forward to loving them as well.
also, i've begun babysitting a baby boy named landen during the days. he's only 11 weeks old right now, but he's a very good baby. he smiles a lot when he's awake. he likes to cuddle and dance. the girls like to "pet" him and feed him (though mali is really just teasing him...she gives him the bottle then takes it away).
mother's day came and went in kind of a blur. we went to church with noe complaining of a belly ache. i thought she was just being whiny (she often tells me she has a fever so she can have medicine and get babied when she's jealous), but soon learned otherwise when she threw up all over her pretty dress. then she said she felt better and was ready to play...so i cleaned her up and to church we went (we thought it was probably her sinuses draining that upset her stomach. she threw up mucus, and i know that happens to me when my sinuses get bad). she and mali are both in nursery now, so we were child free for our meetings. the men all took over the women's callings so we could go to sunday school and relief society, where they served us cookies and candy and beverages. at the end, we all got a rose. then the girls gave me the cards they'd made in nursery and we went home where we all got to take a nap. daddy made dinner and we put the girls to bed a little early so we could watch a movie and eat cookies.
yesterday, noe woke up with a belly ache again and threw up. then she had diarrhea all day. landen came in the morning with his nose all stuffy and congested, making him miserabe and unable to sleep. so while i'm trying to keep the two sickies comfortable, mali is running around making a mess of everything she can possibly get to. i folded the same load of laundry probably eight times, cleaned up the water and flower petals from the rose she got hold of and tore apart, mopped up the water from the dog's bowl she dumped and stomped in, chased her to get the trash she'd dug out of the trash can, and who knows what else. finally, having lost much of my saint-like patience, i called for back up. a friend came over to help me out for most of the day and i actually managed to get my kitchen cleaned up as well as have the kids cared for! noe seemed much better before dinner time, so i figured it was all over and we were in the clear.
not so. she got up this morning at 5am with her stomach upset again. not throwing up so far, though, but she's had diarrhea twice (on the potty, thank goodness). she hasn't had a fever though this, so i'm hoping it's just something she ate. everyone else in the house seems fine.

I'm so sorry! I don't know exactly how you feel, but I can certainly empathize with wanting a baby that isn't coming. It is such a hard thing to go through! Let me know if you need anything! I am happy to help!
