eme and i made it through the year! there were times when i had my doubts! she turned one on the 26th. at 12:05 pm to be exact. daddy took the day off and we went to the zoo, then to p.f. changs for dinner. eme REALLY likes cake. then today, we had playgroup at our house so our friends could celebrate with us with cupcakes. eme really dug into it. i didn't get my camera out, but karma did and her camera is much nicer than mine! when she gets me the pics, i'll post them up. just know that at times, i wasn't sure how she was able to breathe with all that icing up her nose!
a few days before her birthday, eme finally started walking. at first, i had to bribe her (i mean i encouraged her with positive reinforcement), but now she's really taking off.
eme has also begun showing some real personality lately. she's kind of shy around others, so i thought i'd share some with you from some of our family moments:
