excerpts from insanity, the chronicle of the poons: movin'!!

mali has decided that sitting still is for the birds...well, not really. birds don't sit still very well. it's for...things that sit very still...like lamps or my brother with a new video game. anyway, she's been trying to get moving for a while, but hadn't quite figured it out. today, she made a lot of progress. she's not actually crawling, though she's close. but she has figured out that she can pull herself forward on her belly across the floor. it's pretty funny. she looks like she's swimming on the floor, kicking her legs and reaching with her arms. she's so proud of herself, too. she caught noe drawing and tried to take her notebook. noe tried moving the notebook, but soon discovered that that wasn't going to work any more...so she shoved it under the ottoman where neither of them can get it now.

also on a mali note, she has gotten her first tooth, and she's not too happy about it. i put one of her spoons into the freezer (that seems to be the teething device of her choice) and that seems to help her a bit.

today, i took the girls to play group and noe started actually calling her friends by name. she says she wants to hug jacquilin (?), she wants more skyla, she played with issac, etc. on the way out, one of the older boys (i think he's 4) said he wants to be her friend. how cute!

tomorrow, i will start exercising with some of the other moms. we're going to start walking together, the kids in their strollers, twice a week. tomorrow, we're doing it at the mall because it's so hot out right now. we're going to walk and then let the kids play at the "play town" there.

tonight, daddy had to go to church, so after dinner, i let the girls skip their bath (they hadn't gotten dirty enough to worry about for one night) and we watched a movie and had some popcorn. then daddy came home, we read the bed time story and put the girls to bed. that's it for now. here are some pics to keep you coming back for more!
